JAGO: A LIFE UNDERWATER THURSDAY 9PM BBC FOUR

Our award winning Bajau Laut documentary, Jago: A Life Underwater, is having it’s UK premiere on BBC FOUR at 9 PM on Thursday 25th May.

The film follows Rohani, an 80 year old sea nomad, as he tells his life story – with significant events reenacted by younger members of his community. Barely able to walk on land, Rohani still gets in the zone underwater, descending to great depths for minutes at a time to hunt with a homemade speargun.

Shot in Indonesia’s Togian Islands, the film touches on conservation and the ocean but, ultimately, is the story of an old man reflecting on life in a changing world.
